December 2008 - Plastics News featured the success of NTM Inc. In the 48 hours around Black Friday, over 82,000 of NTM's sawhorses were sold through Sears.
The company also installed a new press that allowed them to produce another 100,000 sawhorses in that holiday season. This is on top of the 900,000 sawhorses the company makes annually.
NTM also found success in selling “recession proof” household item through retailers including Sears, Wal-Mart, and Kmart. These successes spurred the company to build a 2,000-square-meter addition at their Elroy facility in 2009.
All of this growth has allowed NTM to manufacture more of their products in the United States which saves money, avoids the complications of shipping logistics, and creates jobs.
